MAASC Stars at the ASCA 2000 Nationals


Mid-A Member Accomplishments
Andie Woods Sarah was invited to participate in the "Super Dog" class, along with nine other top obedience dogs. After completing one class each of utility and open plus two classes of versatility (all in the same morning), the scores were totalled, and by the end of the day whe was classigied as the Number Three Super Dog in the country!
Chris Davies WTCH Davies' Cresent Wrangler HX, CDX, HRDIII, HTDI, Honor Dog - Dres finished 7th on ducks and 11th, by half a point, on sheep at the Nationals Stock Dog Finals.
WTCH (akc) CH Davies' Above The Salt HS, RS-E, RG-E, RJ-O, OA, CGC, (14 points, 3 majors ASCA) - Salt finished his Regular Gambler's Elite title with a 4th place. He had two clean Elite Standard funs, with a 3rd place, and collected more points toward his NATCH. Salt placed 6th Most Versatile Aussie. View Salt's cattle run here.
Sundew's Full Stall Landing STDcds, PT, RS-O (5 points, 1 major ASCA) - Fossil finished her Regular Standard Open Agility title with two clean runs and a 2nd place. She received her Started Sheep and Duck titles with two 4th places. Fossil ended up 12th Most Versatile Aussie out of 60 dogs - not bad for a 2-year old at her first ASCA trial!
Dorene & Adam Farnham Farnham’s Bluey Foster, CD, RTDsc, OTDsd, STDc, RS-N, JS-N, OAC, OJC, NGC, CGC earned the title of Most Versatile Aussie at the ASCA Nationals (watch for his picture in the Aussie Times!) Out of a possible 90 points, Foster scored an 84 for his conformation evaluation as compared to the ASCA breed standard, he also earned his Open Duck title, a leg towards his Advanced Sheep title, an Open leg in obedience, and Novice Standard Agility title in ASCA.

Cowjazz Mo’ Betta’ Rustler STDs, RS-N qualified 23rd out of 60 dogs competing for Most Versatile Aussie at the ASCA Nationals. He also earned his Started Sheep title, a leg towards his Started duck title, a leg towards his Novice Obedience title, and Novice Standard agility title.

Amy Vanderyn Legacy’s Classical Jazz CGC, CDX, AX, AXJ, O-EAC-V, O-EJC-V, EGC-V, FDCh, STDs, RV-N, GV-N, JV-N qualified 25th out of 60 dogs competing for Most Versatile Aussie at the ASCA Nationals. Jazz was the oldest dog competing for the Most Versatile Aussie Award! He earned his Started Sheep title, his Novice Standard, Jumpers and Gamblers Agility titles with ASCA. He went High in Trial Veteran Agility Dog at the Pre-National ASCA trial and was High in Trial Veteran Agility Dog at the Nationals with four clean runs!

Beauwood’s Bright Arrow OA, NAJ, OAC, OJC, OGC, FDCh, GS-N earned his Gamblers Agility title in ASCA with a 2nd place out of 30 dogs!
Mary Mynaugh Teddy (aka Sazbrat Here's The Deal) placed fourth in the Am Bred class on Saturday under judge Richard Yates at the GAASC pre-National. He placed second in the Am Bred class on Sunday under judge Marie Murphy at the Southeast Alabama pre-National He placed fourth in the Am Bred class on Tuesday under judge Barbara Peters in the Florida pre-National. Finally he placed second in the Nationals in the Am Bred class on Thursday under judge Victoria Minstetta.


Boomer (aka Legacy's Lucky Charm CD FMX NAC) qualified in the Vet Novice A agility at the Nationals and earned his NADAC Novice Agility title. He also got first place ribbons for both standard runs.
Lynn Smith Tomorrow ended in 19th place for MVA. In the PreTrial Agility she placed 1st place in open standard and 1st place in open gamblers. In the Nationals Agility she took 2nd place Open standard, 1st place Open standard. She got 82.5 out of 90 in the Versatility Conformation Examination, and earned her STDs. Jane Moss Bayshore's Lullaby at Twilight - "Katie" GAASC Conformation Pre-Show, 1st Place American Bred;
Southeast ASC Pre-Show, 1st Place American Bred;
Florida ASA Pre-Show, 1st Place American Bred, Winner's Bitch, Best of Winners, Premier Ten
2000 ASCA National Specialty, 1st Place American Bred, Winner's Bitch, Best of Winners, Premier Ten.
These two wins finished Katie's ASCA Championship. I also brought Milwin's Cavalier Jackson to the nationals. We competed in agility
